Magnat Monitor Ref. 2A Bookshelf Powered speakers, Black, Pair

A COMPLETE HI-FI SYSTEM IN TWO BOXES

ALL-IN-ONE ACTIVE HI-FI

The Monitor Reference 2A is a fully active speaker system with amplification, sources and control built in. With Bluetooth, HDMI ARC, digital and analogue inputs plus a phono preamp, it adapts to any setup. Complete with remote control, it is a true all-in-one hi-fi solution for music and home entertainment.

CLASS-D AMPLIFIER 2 x 35 WATTS RMS

A powerful integrated Class-D amplifier provides 2 x 35 watts RMS and 2 x 75 watts peak. Amplifier and drivers are matched by the same engineers, so nothing is over or under driven. Efficiency is high and the speakers stay composed at every volume.

25 MM fmax TWEETER WITH SOUNDGUIDE

At the core of the system is a 25 mm fmax tweeter with a specially designed soundguide for optimised dispersion. A powerful ferrite magnet system enables exceptional dynamic range and precise high-frequency reproduction. You hear a wide, balanced soundstage for music, films and gaming alike.

FE-DYNAMICS BASS-MIDRANGE DRIVER

The 5 inch bass-midrange driver uses an FE-Dynamics coated paper cone with low partial oscillation. Voices stay clean and instruments keep their natural texture right across the midband. Frequency response reaches from 38 Hz up to 40,000 Hz.

CONNECT EVERYTHING

Connect a TV through HDMI ARC or stream with Bluetooth 5.0 and aptX. Optical, 3.5 mm AUX, stereo RCA and an MM phono input cover the rest of your sources. A turntable, a television, a streamer and a laptop can all stay permanently connected. One pair of speakers replaces an entire rack.

PREMIUM GERMAN AUDIO

BUILT-IN PHONO PREAMP

A built-in RIAA preamplifier lets you connect a turntable with an MM cartridge directly to the speakers. No separate phono stage and no separate amplifier are required. Vinyl becomes a plug-and-play source alongside everything else.

ONE CABLE BETWEEN SPEAKERS

All electronics live in the active speaker; the passive unit connects to it with the supplied cable. Only one mains connection is needed for the whole system. Setup is genuinely simple, even for a first hi-fi.

AIRFLEX PORT SOLID MDF CABINET

An Airflex port with a rounded reflex opening reduces wind noise while extending the low end. The solid MDF cabinet and vibration-damping rubber feet keep unwanted resonance out of the sound. Clean, precise output is the result of both working together.

EVERYDAY CONVENIENCE

A remote control, an LED status indicator on the front and an automatic standby mode below 0.5 watts make daily use effortless. The system wakes as soon as a source starts playing. Good sound should not require a ritual to switch on.

ELEGANT FINISH

An understated black finish with a removable front grille suits a shelf, a sideboard or a desk equally well. High-quality gold-plated terminals underline the quality of the build. The pair looks like hi-fi, not like computer accessories.
