THE HEIGHT LAYER YOUR SYSTEM IS MISSING

DOLBY ATMOS WITHOUT REBUILDING THE ROOM

The AEH 400-ATM is a compact add-on speaker that sits on top of your existing front or surround speakers. It fires upward so the ceiling reflects sound back to the listening position, exactly as Dolby specifies. Four of them turn a conventional THX Ultra2 system into a full Dolby Atmos configuration.

SWITCHABLE CROSSOVER

This was the world's first Dolby Atmos-enabled add-on speaker with a switchable crossover that turns it into a direct-radiating on-wall or on-ceiling speaker. One product covers both installation philosophies. You choose reflection or direct radiation based on your room, not your hardware.

5.25-INCH COAXIAL DRIVER

A single 5.25 inch coaxial driver places the tweeter at the acoustic centre of the woofer for a true point source. Height effects arrive coherent and precisely localised rather than smeared. Frequency response reaches from 45 Hz all the way up to 37,000 Hz.

DISPERSION TO DOLBY SPECIFICATION

Magnat developed the AEH 400-ATM to implement Dolby's guidelines on dispersion characteristics to the letter. Correct directivity is what makes a reflected height channel convincing rather than vague. Objects appear above you where the mix placed them.

COMPACT AND UNOBTRUSIVE

At roughly 280 x 150 x 188 mm the speaker sits neatly on top of a tower or a bookshelf model. Power handling of 50 watts RMS and 89 dB sensitivity give it plenty of output for its role. It adds a dimension to the system without adding clutter to the room.

PREMIUM GERMAN AUDIO

BUILD UP TO 7.2.4

With four AEH 400-ATM speakers and two subwoofers, the Cinema Ultra system reaches a full 7.2.4 Dolby Atmos layout. Every layer of the installation uses the same driver philosophy and the same voicing. Nothing has to be replaced as your ambitions grow.

PERFECT ON TOP OF THE LCR 100-THX

The AEH 400-ATM is dimensioned to sit directly on the LCR 100-THX front speakers as a Dolby-certified add-on. Placement is immediate and requires no brackets, drilling or ceiling cabling. Immersive audio becomes a same-afternoon upgrade.

ON-WALL OR ON-CEILING MOUNTING

Switch the crossover and the AEH 400-ATM becomes a direct-radiating speaker for wall or ceiling installation. Rooms with unusual ceilings or absorbent surfaces can still get a proper height layer. One model solves both the easy and the difficult installations.

ALSO WORKS OUTSIDE THE THX WORLD

The add-on speaker can be used with non-THX-licensed electronics and with speakers from outside the Cinema Ultra range. It is a general-purpose Atmos solution, not a closed accessory. Any Atmos-capable receiver can put it to work.

DEVELOPED IN GERMANY

Cinema Ultra was developed at Magnat in Pulheim, where the dispersion behaviour of every driver is measured rather than estimated. Meeting Dolby's guidelines exactly took engineering, not marketing. This delivers a height channel that genuinely convinces.
