WIDE FREQUENCY RANGE AND DEEP, CONTROLLED BASS

CLASSIC THREE-WAY
FLOORSTANDING DESIGN

The Monitor S70 combines a pair of 17 cm woofers, a dedicated midrange driver and a high-quality 28 mm fabric dome tweeter. Splitting the spectrum across three ways keeps every driver in its best operating range. That means a wide frequency range with deep, controlled bass and an open midrange.

DUAL 17 CM
WOOFERS

Two 17 cm woofers share the low frequency work, so each one moves less for the same output. Lower excursion means lower distortion and bass that stays tight when the music gets demanding. Large rooms are filled without strain.

DEDICATED
MIDRANGE DRIVER

A separate midrange driver handles voices and instruments, completely independent of the bass section. Vocals stay clear and centred even when the low end is working hard. This is the key advantage a true three-way design has over simpler configurations.

PREMIUM FABRIC
DOME TWEETER

A 28 mm fabric dome tweeter delivers highs that are extended and detailed but never harsh. Fabric domes have a naturally smooth character that suits long listening sessions. Cymbals shimmer and voices keep their air without any hint of glare.

FE-DYNAMICS
DRIVER TECHNOLOGY

FE-Dynamics combines an optimised ferrite magnet system with non-magnetic, well-ventilated driver baskets. Voice coil cooling keeps the drivers thermally stable during long, high-level playback. Performance stays consistent instead of compressing as the evening goes on.

PREMIUM GERMAN AUDIO

RING RADIATOR
TWEETER TECHNOLOGY

The Monitor S tweeter concept uses a larger effective membrane surface than a conventional dome. It produces more energy around the critical crossover point between midrange and treble. Transitions between drivers become smoother and the soundstage opens up.

OPTIMISED
BASS REFLEX CABINET

The cabinet is tuned as a bass reflex enclosure to extend low frequency output well below the drivers' natural limit. Careful port design keeps air noise out of the sound at high levels. Bass arrives deep and defined rather than boomy and slow.

MUSIC AND
HOME CINEMA

Optimised for both roles, the S70 delivers scale and imaging in stereo and authority as a front channel in surround. Pair it with the Monitor S14 C or S12 C centre and the S10 D dipole surrounds for a full system. One tonal signature runs through every channel.

SOLID BUILD
UNDERSTATED LOOK

A rigid cabinet with clean lines and a removable fabric grille fits quietly into a living room. Available in black and walnut, it suits both modern and traditional interiors. Nothing about the appearance distracts from what the speaker is there to do.

AFFORDABLE
HIGH PERFORMANCE

The Monitor S series was created to bring genuine Magnat engineering within easy reach. Development takes place in Germany with the same measurement discipline applied to the premium ranges. You get performance that punches well above the price bracket.
